The WCMA is participating in the 2010 Woodworking Industry Conference on April 21-24 in Monterey, California. The theme for this year's WIC, "It's a New Tomorrow" will feature an outstanding educational program offering strategies for recovering from a difficult 2009 and position your company for future success. Several industry forums are planned offering valuable discussions for manufacturers, end-users, and distributors. A new forum for the "Green User" has been added. An industry roundtable discussion, Industry Panel of Change, and the Public Policy Forum round out the WIC program. Several opportunities for networking are included.
WCMA members who have attended the WIC in the past found it to be very beneficial. "WIC offers outstanding speakers on topics that help me as a manager, help the members of WCMA and help our industry as a whole to be more effective in these challenging times," says Keith Atherholt, president of Lewis Lumber Products and also WCMA. "We are all questioning how to spend our money to help our companies these days. WIC is worth the investment."
The Woodworking Industry Conference is sponsored by the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers, Woodworking Machinery Industry Association, and the Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America. The WCMA is a participating association and other woodworking associations are invited to attend.
